Featured in Star Wars, Return of the Jedi, Malakili was one of the keepers of the only known rancor specimen. Kept in a special pit below the crime lord's court, the rancor was reserved as a method of getting rid of unwelcome guests or others who failed the crime lord. The Corellian Malakili once worked for the Circus Horrificus, where he kept an eye on the Akk dogs and encountered Jedi Masters Mace Windu and Depa Billaba. Two other rancer keepers employed by Jabba include the human Weeba Weeba and the Klatoonian Giran.
